What are you up to this weekend in the city? Consider going to EndDanger, an Eco Art and Music Fest Fundraiser opening on January 19, 2013 (Saturday) in Quezon City.
EndDanger will feature mixed media artworks from the group Artists for Nature and will also have performances from Flying Ipis, Extrapolation, and Peso Movement.
EndDanger aims to call attention to the growing problem of animal
endangerment in the Philippines and seeks to raise funds to monitor one
of the country's most threatened species, the pawikan (giant sea turtle).
I was also happy to learn that all proceeds from the event's ticket sales will go to the Pawikan Watchers training program, which aims to educate volunteers on the ecology and biology of handling sea turtles. Aside from raising funds, Artists for Nature also aims for the exhibit to broaden public awareness of the urgent need to preserve our wildlife.
If you love art and music and would like to make a contribution to the environment and the pawikan, head on over to EndDanger! Details of the event below:
EndDanger will be held at the Conspiracy Garden Cafe.
59 Visayas Avenue, Project 6, Quezon City
The exhibit opens at 5 PM on January 19, 2013 and runs until 8 February 2013
